Few bands willfully defy a niche as eloquently and smartly as The
Sharp Things, a cheerfully melancholy crew who embrace sharp Anglo-pop,
somber songcraft, '70s summertime anthems and West Coast jazz-influenced
chamber music with dexterity, daring and grace.
Duncan Sheik
is the highly regarded singer songwriter whose debut single Barely
Breathing was an alternative radio hit. Three albums later, he is
preparing his long awaited musical version of Spring Awakening for
a concert performance at Lincoln Center in February

It was another super exciting night at Fez last week as Cerveris
played to another full house. The Sharp things started things off
with some lovely tunes. The crowd gave a very hearty welcome back
to Joe McGinty and his band Baby Steps. The end of the night was
capped off with another fantastic set from Cerveris. Singer/Songwriter
Duncan Sheik took the stage midset to play a few of his own songs.
One of the highlights of the evening came when Michael sang a delicately
beautiful song from Duncan's upcoming sold out musical at Lincoln
Center, Spring Awakening (which Michael will also be performing).
