That Night Toby is picked up at a bar by a man. In the alley he reveals himself to be the Gaily look-alike She decapitates him.
Scene: The Next Day: Board Room
Norman: <to
Oscar>
Do you really think that Danny could
do something like that?
Danny comes in looking slightly disheveled.
He sits at the head of the table and picks up the phone.
Oscar:
Danny Danny!
What is going on with you?
Danny:
What do you think is going on?
Norman:
Craig and Toby are dead.
Oscar:
Not just dead. Murdered.
Norman:
Not just murdered ...
Danny stops dialing and
slams down the phone
without calling anyone.
Danny:
I know!!
God Dammit...
What do you think
I live in a cave?
Oscar:
Who knows maybe it's just a madman
running around killing people for no reason.
Danny:
Nobody does anything without a reason.
Norman:
Ease up Danny.
Danny:
Don't fucking tell me to ease up!
Norman:
All I'm saying is that it doesn't help
anything if we lose our heads.
Danny:
<laughing >

Oscar takes a big gulp of water...
Scene: Day Three: The Board Room
Norman rushes in and nervously takes a drink and sees
Danny sitting alone in the dark.
Suprised, he drops the bottle.
Norman:
Jesus! You scared me!
Danny:
Pick up the bottle.
Norman:
You and me - we're next.
Danny:
Just shut up and let me think.
Norman:
Yeah. You'd better think.
You know you were always the
one with the bright ideas.
How bout something brillant now?
Danny:
I told you to shut up!
Norman:
That is great! That's really constructive!
Look you can stay up here if you want thinking
but I made up my mind I'm getting out.
Danny:
What do you mean? out?
Norman:
I mean - out of here.
Out of the country.
Out of town and away from you!
Danny:
You think it's me don't you?
Norman:
I don't know what I think.
I just know that it's gotten
really unhealthy to hang around with you.
Danny:
You're not leaving the country.
You're not going anywhere.
Norman:
Who says?
Danny:
I do. All this stuff has upset you.
I can't have you going out there
in this condition -
talking to people. You'll find that a
whole lot more unhealthy than hanging
around me. I didn't have anything to
do with Craig or Toby or Oscar.
Norman:
Maybe I don't believe you.
Danny:
Well it doesn't make any difference if you
believe it or not.
What you better believe is
if you try to walk out on me.
If you try to go
to the feds or the DA or your grandmother
- I will kill you.
Now.
Go back to work.
Norman leaves as Daniel watches.
Scene: Day Five: Another Office
Alison is convincing Norman to tell the police
about Danny and what happened five years ago.
Alison:
My car's outside. In 20 minutes you're
telling the police what you know
about Danny Emerson.
Just as she says this they look over
and see Daniel in the doorway..
Danny: <to Norman>
Isn't there something that you should
be doing? Outside?
Norman leaves
nervously.
Daniel turns his attention to Alison.
Danny:
District Attorney?
Department of Justice?
FBI?
SEC?
League of Women voters?
Well it doesn't matter.
You can't touch me.
No one can.
She pushes past him
making it clear she isn't intimidated by him.
Daniel pauses leaning momentarily on the bookshelf.
Frustated, he pushes books off shelf.
He looks out the
window and sees Norman get killed outside.
It is too far away to tell who killed him.
He sees the killer coming into the building after him.
He runs away.
Scene: That Night: The Board Room:
Daniel has barricaded himself inside the conference room.
He takes a drink.
Then a handgun.
Then a shotgun.
Still drinking.
Danny: <he toasts to the empty
seats around him>
To Friendship and the ties that bind.
Later that night:
Daniel has fallen asleep on the table.
Wakes up from a nightmare in a cold sweat.
Danny: <to
the empty room>
All right.
We have a lot to accomplish today.
So I think we should just jump right in.
Any new business?
<He looks around the table.>
No?
Ok.
Any old business?
"Gaily":
<appearing out of the darkness>
Mr. Chairman?
I have something that I
would like to put on the table.
Daniel looks up and
sees the Gaily look alike.
Danny:
No.
"Gaily":
You're so much smaller
than I thought you would be.
Danny:
What?
"Gaily":
I thought you'd be terrible. A monster.
But you're so small. So weak
Danny:
I don't have to take this shit from a ghost!
He takes the shotgun and shoots her three times in the stomach.
He looks closely and can see wires inside
.
She gets back up and comes after him.
He runs out of the office taking the handgun.
He desparately tries the elevator but Albert has sabotaged it.
The stairway is also blocked so he can't go down.
He has to run up to the roof.
Meanwhile, Alison who had made friends with "Gaily" and then been
taken prisoner by Albert - strikes him over the head with a wrench. When he
is unconscious the Gaily android switches to automatic pilot. Alison runs to
the roof.
Danny grabs her from behind
and points the gun to her head
holding her hostage.
Danny:
You in this with her?
Is that the deal?
Alison:
Don't you know her?
Don't you remember?
Danny:
I didn't have anything to do with that.
I am innocent.
You just ask them.
Alison:
Ask who?
There's nobody left.
"Gaily":
Stop!
Danny:
Get away from me!
"Gaily":
Let go of my friend.
Danny:
Not a chance.
Albert joins them on the roof.
"Gaily":
Albert!? What do I do?
Albert:
Kill them. Kill them both.
"Gaily":
I don't want to. It doesn't feel ...
Albert
Access override
"Gaily":
Don't make me!
Albert:
Persona override 1492 Lazarus
A laser beam shoots out of "Gaily's" finger
striking Daniel's hand. He screams in pain,
drops the gun and Alison breaks free.
"Gaily":
Pretty. Very pretty
She sets him on fire and he falls off of the roof.
